Builder AU
Brian Haverty, Editorial Director
Brian Haverty is Editorial Director for CBS Interactive Australia and is responsible for the company's CNET Australia, ZDNet Australia, Builder AU and GameSpot AU online titles.
Brian has been editing and writing on an extensive range of technology subjects for 10 years in Australia but the areas he specialises in are digital publishing and production systems. He has launched a number of print publications in Australia, including Technology & Business and C|Level, and has served as Editor-in-Chief for the Australian editions of PC Magazine and Windows Sources.
Prior to working with CBS Interactive Australia, Brian was Editor of a number of magazines in Japan including Winds (the in-flight magazine for Japan Airlines) and Tokyo Journal, the English language city guide to Tokyo.
Chris Duckett, Producer & Editor
Chris is Producer for Builder AU and is responsible for managing and developing new features and functionality for the Web site. He began at CBS Interactive Australia in January 2005 as a software engineer and was involved in the re-design and re-launch of ZDNet Australia, CNET Australia and Builder AU.
After completing the Builder AU redesign during 2006, Chris started writing editorial for Builder AU which developed into his role of Producer.
Prior to this, Chris worked as a Development Manager at a start-up company.
Chris’s experience as a developer and systems manager means that he can directly relate to the Builder AU community and help them to do what they do best -- write code. His involvement with the recent re-design and re-launch of Builder AU in 2006 means that he has a sound understanding of what additional functionality and features that Builder AU can deliver to its readers. The downside of being a developer in his Producer role -- if he wants to introduce a new feature to Builder AU, he has to build it!
