- GameSpot AU partnered with Dendy Films in February 2008 to promote "The King of Kong" across Australia and offer promotions and benefits to GameSpot AU readers.
- The Australian audience for GameSpot AU has increased by nearly 40% since its local launch in September 2006.
- In August 2007, GameSpot AU launched SpotOn!, an official GameSpot AU blog focussing on Aussie gaming.
- In June 2007, the GameSpot AU team introduced “OzSpot”, a weekly podcast for Aussie gamers which has evoked a huge response.
